[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have posted already one or two Rheas.
I preferred the POV a bit lower here but it was impossible.
I changed the colour temperature a few hundred Kelvin to make the image a bit warmer; 5100 tot 5400 or so.
Almost no cropping. Shot hand held.
Have a nice day...

The American Rhea (Rhea americana), also known as the Gray, Common, or Greater Rhea is not only the largest species of rhea but the largest American bird, with adults averaging 30 kilograms (66 lb).

Farmers sometimes consider them pests, because they will eat almost any crop plant. Because of this habit, farmers sometimes kill the birds. This, along with egg gathering and habitat loss, has led to a sharp population decline; the species is listed as being of "special concern." They do not eat most crop plants, but they will eat brassicas (cabbage, and baby chard and bok choi) if very hungry soybean leaves. Rheas disdain grasses.

It is a very nice shot, with a good sharpen

Hi Annick,
There is alot of detail captured in this photo. The Rhea looks old and tired almost. The background off sets the natural colours of the rhea and makes a nice picture.

Bonne journée.

Hi Annick,

been very close.
Nice colours and lighting. I like the tight compo too.
Well done.

bonjour annick

jolie capture, belles couleurs nettes et encore une fois de très bons détails

hi annick,
nice portrait,
well composed shot, sharp image with good details, natural colour tones, lovely bg, nice pov, I didnt like the framing here, I feel that a dark frame would have suited better with this image but its just a matter of taste. overall a very nice shot,
tfs & regards

Hello Annick,
If that old looking, cracked up beak could talk. Your capture has great detail in this closeup with fine color.

Hi Annick,
Wonderful portrait shot. Very neat with sharp details. The calm pious look it presents is so real and natural as are the colours. Great POV and a superb BG. Very nicely composed and framed. Kudos.

Wat een scherpte je kunt elk haartje of veertje tellen, geweldig. Ook de beschadigde snavel geeft het iets speciaals.

What fantastic details, Annick.
I love the look of this rhea, and the expression.
The colors are subtle, and I like the monochromatic effect of the image.
TFS. : )

Hi Annick,
I like the detail on this.A fine crop, and getting the eyes so clear is the right thing.

this guy is as skinny as i am!!!
haha good details and clarity. really good DOP and colors.
great one!

Well detailed picture of this Rhea's head from the side. A different aspect would show the very wide beak these birds have.
Very well done,

Very pure and sharp shot Annick. Well done. tfs.Stev
