Its two small black eyes with facets are definitely separate. Its legs are hairy and thanks to these hairs, they stick to the branches. Welcome to TN Patrick. You do start of with a bang! Excellent shot of this Cicada. The details are tack sharp. Well... without wasting any more time everything here is just perfect. One of the best cicada shots I've seen. And a nice supportive note. Well done, with such a standard I can't wait to see more. Just watch out for that F4.8, I try my macros from F8 on. Brilliant!

Welcome to TN.

Welcome to TN!
Very good first post, I hope it had a bit more light, but details can be perfectly seen anyway. You chose just the right angle to get all the cicada into DOF with only F:4.8.
Hope to see more photos and critiques soon.

Souvent entendu mais jamais vu quand je vais en vacances en Gironde, bon choix de focale et belle netteté de l'image, great shot, pour le bon fonctionnement du forum, donne ton point de vue sur les autres photos

Patrick, welcome. And what a geat debut. Your photo is beautiful and perfect. The colors of the insect are in tune with the colors of the bow. Besides these, great sharpness and point of view.

Beau cliché qui met bien en valeur cet insecte symbolique du sud. Je note que vous avez un 5060WZ, excellent appareil en macro et paysage. Compliments Patrick.
