|As indicated by its name Ophrys provincialis is really localized in Provence.|
It is quite robust with green sepals and petals, although petals are darker than sepals.
The basal field is reddish and the reddish or bluish mirror displays a white border which underlines it and contrasts with the lip brown tone. The pseudo-eyes are surrounded of white. The appendix is small and directed downwards.
Flowering period from April to May.

from the picture it looks a lot like sphegodes and araneola, i guess the robustness gice it away?
