White lipped Snail - escargot des jardins - Cepaea hortensis
or
Grove Snail - escargot des bois - Cepaea nemoralis

CEPAEA'S :
Both species are yellow, pink or brown.
Both species have 5 bands per spirale. Each band can be missing.
They share the same habitat.
The grove snail is larger than the white lipped snail when mature.
Generally dark lip for the grove snail and white lip for the white lipped snail.
The shell gives probability but no definite ID. Their identities can be confirmed only by dissection.

THE PIC :
I walk in the woods after the rain. So many snails could be found then. Dissection was not an option, so the secret of the ID of this snail will be kept forever. This one is from the yellow type. He is missing bands 1 and 2. Bands 3, 4 and 5 are so large that they merge.

Crop 90%
Sharpening, then effect of sharpening removed in the few area’s where it was over done.

Bonjour Jean-Marie,
Trop mignon ton petit escargot. Il me semble que ce matin je ne dois pas le battre en ce qui concerne la vitesse. Trčs jolie "composition", Pas facile de les photographier, ces petites bętes.

This is a beautiful snail Jean-Marie, quite different to the ones we have here.
The POV and composition are very good here.
I think you could reduce the UV glare a little by just turning down the blue levels a little.
A great shot though.

Magnificent capture of this escargot!
I like so much the close approach and the clear details got.
The textures seen on the core and the skin are so rich.
It's very good the composition made with the leaf along the diagonal of the picture.

un manque d'espace devant l'escargot mais en revanche la netteté sur la coquille est excellente laissant de beaux details qui font penser a ce que l'on trouve sur certaines pierres.
