En: Green huntsman spider
Lat: Micrommata virescens
Fr: Araignée verte

Portrait of a female Micrommata virescens. Note the eight small eyes (All spiders have 8 eyes, even thought they can't be easily spotted by all species)
The adult males are smaller and have a yellowish abdomen with a red stripe.
They are widespread but rare.
They belongs to crab spiders even though they do not wait in ambush, but walk instead till they spot a prey.

I could spot the spider because it was running. Taking a shot was a nightmare because it wouln't stop running. When it suddently did, it all because very easy.
I like the surprising green color of this spider.
The background is the road. Not nice by itself but I felt that the grey enhance the green.

great shot. I like the rock backround.

Hello Jean,
Great macro, I like it. Excellent color with nice sharp detail and great DOF..Well exposed and I agree, the green looks good against the grey BG :)

Hi Jean-Marie

The colour and detail are both really great here. A wonderful shot.

Deserves more comments. Good sharpness and detail on the spider, good colours with the bright green against the rock. Nice image.

Scary fellow. Haven't remarked green spiders, but the effect with the background is very good. Great detail and extensive note.

Hello Jean Marie!
Lovely contrast between spider and the grey BG (rocks?). Picture has very good sharpness, details, and DOF.
Bravo and TFS,

bonjour JM

Hi JeanMario.
Your spider shot is really great. I am impressed with reproduction of all features of the insect including texture and tiny hair. Light is perfect too: soft and effective. DOF and POV are so impressive. Well details neutrally coloured BG is looked very well. Superb work. Bravo and TFS.

Hi Jean-Marie.
Beautiful capture of this very interesting green spider.Great POV,very good sharp details and very nice green colors, also grey BG worked here very well.I I think as though composition is a little tight on the left and right side. However this is great your macro work.
TFS,with greeting Milos.

Bonjour Jean Marie,
Vous êtes chanceux et doué d'avoir fait ce joli cliché. Moi j'ai déjà vu ces drôles d'araignées vertes mais je n'ai encore jamais réussi à en capter une correctement ;-)
Compliments et merci pour le partage,
