Le sphinx gazé, appelé également sphinx fuciforme, sphinx du chèvrefeuille ou parfois sphinx bourdon est un papillon (lépidoptère).
Le sphinx gazé fréquente les jardins, les clairières, les chemins, les lisières de forêts, les friches où il butine les fleurs en vol stationnaire.
The sphinx gazé, called also sphinx fuciforme, sphinx of chèvrefeuille or sometimes sphinx bumblebee is a butterfly (lépidoptère).
The gazé sphinx attends the gardens, the clearings,the ways, the skirts of forest, the waste lands where it butine flowers in hovering. |

Hello Christian,
this is a brilliant and nice picture of the hawkmoth with great depth of field. Colours, sharpness and general composition are excellent. The species is not so often shown compared with M. stellatarum. Thanks for posting such a beautiful picture of this species.

Very nice picture of this Sphingidae. Unfortunatelly the full nformation from EXIF is not available - I wonde what camera speed was used to get not smooth wings? ;-)
