Dutch name: Schaduwstipspanner
French name: Phalène rustique

The adult has a wingspan of 20mm.

The larva lives on fallen leaves. Hybernates as larva and pupates in a cocoon among plant debris.

The adults fly in two generations a year; onwards from June till early October. They are active at dusk and during the night.

Hello Mariki,
Excellent macro of Idaea vulperina, a species of Geometer absent from Sweden. Taken with good sharpness it shows well in this open wing resting pose on the leaf.

A beautiful moth in subdued, pastel colours Marie, perfectly captured in good form, focus and exposure on a complimentary green leaf. I tried a slightly different colour scheme in my WS, hope you like it my friend.

Les géometridés forment une famille de papillons bien intéressants. Ce "tapis" est d'une grande finesse et la feuille verte sous-jacente complète merveilleusement la palette de couleurs. Bonnne présentation en diagonale.
