Note : Before I show you a Pulsatilla alpina here and now this is the fruit. The wind will spread the seeds.
English name : Alpine anemone or Alpine pasque flower – Scientific name : Pulsatilla alpina – Family : Ranunculaceae.
Description : Perennial plant of mountain which opens out in calcareous ground from May to July and meets in rocks and pastures of the high mountains of 1000 with 2800m of altitude.
The solitary flower from 4 to 8cm is white and protected from the cold by a coating of tiny hairs.
The stem, high 15 to 35 centimetres, is less hairy than that of the other similar species.
The fluffy globular seed heads are delightful and these ripen comparatively rapidly to release their wind-blown seeds.
Photo : Resized and framed in 800x600 for TN.
This photo was made on slope of the Sambuy at 1600m.

Beautiful, delicate looking flower fruits, you can see just how the wind would pick these up and spread the seeds. Interesting note and photo, well done.

Bonjour Christian

Christian, you do great when you shoot animals and when you shoot plants - that's very nice.

Here, excellent colors, pov and composition.

It's almost possible to "feel" the wind.
