Lamium album, White nettle, White dead-nettle ou Ortie blanche, Lamier blanc observé sur la pelouse sèche de La Côte à le Taviard.

"Moyen, vivace, rampant, pubescent, légèrement aromatique, non ramifié. Feuilles longuement acuminées, fortement dentées de 3-7 cm de long, pétiolées ressemblant à celle de l'Ortie (Urtica dioica, Stinging nettle, Common nettle ). Fleurs blanches de 20-25 mm, en verticilles à l'aisselle des feuilles, lèvre supérieure en casque ; tube de la corolle arqué vers l'arrière, muni à la gorge d'un anneau de poils obliques ; lèvre inférieure à stries verdâtres ; floraison de mars à novembre. Bords des chemins, haies, pied des murs, talus, terrains vagues ; espèce nitrophile."

This White nettle flower is certainly a lovely flower and you have captured it beautifully. It has fine and delicate details and these features makes it even more beautiful. Bonjour Gérad,
Il y a vraiment beaucoup d'espèces de Lamium, de toutes les couleurs. Je n'avais encore jamais vu l'ortie blanche, du moins je n'y ai pas prêté attention. Image très fine et bien conçue. Un grand merci aussi de ta note.

Hello Gerard,
I must admit I didn't know the Dead Nettle plant produced white flowers, as all I have ever seen were the purplish blue ones that we have here in Ohio.
A lovely photo of these beautiful white blooms. Love their soft looking texture and the natural lighting.
