Good evening, neighbour! :-)
Yes, I experienced how difficult is to photograph this species, as it's fast and never sits on a flower for too much. So I have no useful photos of it at all. :-( Beautiful image in natural sepia tone, well shown textures and details of the wings + in addition, pleasant, excellent composition. Although the open winged pose is imho always more spectacular, this is a fantastic shot. Huge congratulations.

A very pretty butterfly that is new to me. The dark earth toned colors in it's wings show up nicely against the light BG of whitish pebbles. I like the unusual grizzled-like markings in it's wings. I would imagine this helps to camouflage it against any would be predators. Well done!!
