Cicindella campestris
Cicindèle champêtre in French

La Cicindèle champêtre est un beau coléoptère vert, parfois bleuâtre, plus rarement noirâtre.
* Habitat : terrains nus à plus de 2 500 m.
* Période d'apparition des adultes : mars à septembre.
* Répartition : partout en Europe.

It was very hard to take this picture because tiger beetles are very fast insects. Moreover it was a sunny day and they were very active!
Hope you like it.

Hi Emmanuel
This is a great capture of this beautiful beetle in a lovely composition.
The colours are magnificent, the DOF is fabulous with excellent details of the insect, the BG is OOF and complimentary, and the exposure is spot-on.
Very well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Hi Emmanuel, as you said, it is very difficult to take pictures of this beetles, they move a lot and very fast. Very sharp photo considering the subject, Juan

What beautiful iridescent colors, Emmanuel.
The green and the pink are very striking together. : )
Very sharp details and great POV. TFS. ; )

Hi Emmanuel!
I missed out this one yesterday.
Great shot, perfect in all details.

Excellent shot, Emmanuel.
Details and colours are wonderful.
That rapidly sprinting and always ready to take off beetle is very hard to capture, and even if you manage to get it sharp, it is difficult to show the green iridescence.
Fascinating to see that the beetle seems to carry some freshly taken prey with its mandibles.
You did a wonderful job - did you mesmerize the beetle, or are you even quicker than a speedy Cicindèle champêtre?
Thank you, and best regards,
Peter

Another great "tiger" shot (sorry, I'm catching up and working backward). Althought this is the commonest species over here, it's still my favourite - hyperactive, very colourful and likely to take flight at any moment. Well done!
Regards, Nigel.
