Hi Laurent,
A very unusual looking insect, I'm afraid I can't help with the ID. It's a very nice shot though, nice sharp detail and beautiful colours. I like the way he is stepping out of the picture too, very creative presentation.
Regards,
Adrian

Bonjour Laurent, super le portait de ce coléo Dalton!! C'est petit Jo!! il n'a pas l'air commode!! Bon piqué et belles couleurs. Félicitations, Didier.

Nice image, Laurent.
The Latin name of this creature and your description leaves me somewhat mystified, though. Is it some kind of bee?

Hi Laurent,
Tres belle macro de ce longicorne du genre Clytus. Point de vue original, encore accentue par la presentation hors cadre de sa patte, ce qui dynamise la composition. Beaux details sur la tete et son thorax si joliment colores. Et pour combien il voudrait ressembler a un frelon dangereux, pour se proteger de predateurs potentiels ! (pour aider a la determination, il est toujours utile de photographier l'insecte aussi sous des angles peu esthetitques, mais permettant de voir sans ambiguite le dessin des elytres);
Merci pour ce partage, Patrick

Hi Laurent,

The "stepping out" of this insect is wonderful.
It looks like he is coming out of my computer and wants to tell me something (or worse!)
Very original photo and I like it a lot.
Regards,
Zeno.

Hi Laurent,

Very good work, i like it.
Excellent framing and composition.
Well done!

Hi Laurent,
very appealing shot, very well presented. Charming idea to make that pushy little wasp beetle step out of its frame right in front of the spectator's eyes - wide open from the astonishment! Thank you!
Best regards,
Peter

Hi Larent,

Hi Laurent,
Very nice POV on that beetle. This species is also interesting for it mimics the wasps to scare the potential predators.
Best greetings,
Michal

bonjour laurent, belle photo de Clyte bien mis en valeur par l'angle de prise de vue, l'entourage bien dégagé et l'encadrement travaillé. Bravo !
