[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this interestingly marked beetle feeding on pollen on a rose bush in my garden here in France. It has taken many hours of research in books and on the internet but I finally think I have identified it!

Pachytodes cerambyciformis

This common species of Longihorn beetle has a body length of between 7-12 mms and has a two year life cycle. The lava develops in the roots of oak, birch and chestnut trees.
The adults are seen between May & August and feed on pollen.

What a beautifully marked insect on a beautiful rose BG. Nice composition with sharp details and good exposure. Excellent POV showing the interesting markings on the wings. TFS. : )
