You use your Ixus in automatic or some manual way?

Christian, I love this shot as it reflects natural colours. IMO we have to be very carefull with postprocessing as it may make things unnatural like too much sharpening and overemphasized colours.
This one has none of that, great shot!
Greetings, Jan

Excellent capture. This beatle reminds me of the beatle like aliens in the movie "The Fifth Element". Lovely colors and DOF. Excellent shot!

Ah, a reminiscence of spring.. These beautiful and colourful beetles are amongst the first to appear in spring, but already by early June they're gone again.
Nice capture with good sharpness and DOF.

Good shot Christian. The colours are strong and the composition good. The poor chap looks like he has been through the wars a bit with bits of missing legs. Well done.

Points tomorrow.

Boy, This is a GEM! If I was to describe it those terms I would say it is an emerald atop a ruby in a setting of gold!! I continue to see some of the greatest photos on TN I've ever had the pleasure to view! And the "Hits" just keep comin'!!! Great, Great photo!!

VERY nice metalic beetle here, covered in pollen, with a nice diagonal adding interest to the compo.

Wspania³a praca Christian.
Doskona³a kolorystyka i detale.
Very well done.
Robert.

Marvellous! Delicious colours. Excellently focussed. Tinyest details show incredibly crisp and clear. The composition with the reddish bottom and the yellow aura around the green and golden beetle is an eye catcher! Congratulations!
Peter

Most of the time they put their head deap in the flower and it is not woth a photo. This pic is brilliant. Astonishing colors.
Maybe the Cetonia could have been less centered but I don't mind much.

Hello Christian!
What a beautiful Cetonia photo! I like a lot mosaic of tones and perfect sharp details. Great control of DOF and light.
Best greetings,
Radomir
