Very Good - I Like the way you captured the wings as one can see right through it. Do you perhaps have more info on this insect?

Nice and sharp capture of this cicada, good colours and DOF and strong light nicely handled. I particularly like the see-through wings ;-)

It surely is a beauty Christian and very good composition. DOF and colours are spot on - as usual I should say.You did a great job taking the picture as well as the postprocessing.

WOW. This is superb. The colours and DOF are tip-top. Love this. Never seen this critter before. Thanx for sharing.

A truly striking macro effort, Christian. The diagonal made by the tree bark is a great element for this composition, and the colors and anatomical details visible in the cicida are really stunning. Great DOF, too, congratulations on this one.

You did well to get so close. I think this is the first time I saw one eating from a tree like that. Strangely, these in America have a completely different sound that those in Japan.

The noise they make its so easily recognisible but is amazing how you never see them, you have to be armed with lots of pacience to catch them ...

Merci Christian.

Looks like a vicous insect, very good shot like the details on the wing and good DOF. Well done.
