P shaped chestnut tree

Sweet Chestnut tree - Castanea sativa
Marronnier (variété de châtaignier)
Sweet Chestnut is widely cultivated for its edible nuts.
Interesting to know:
Chestnut trees can be grafted on oak trees (but succes is difficult to obtain).

I wish I had the all alphabet, but no. I got the “P” only.
Hoarfrost had given this nice color (-14°C).
PP work. Slightly rotate + crop 90%.

Hi JeanMarie

This is most interesting!
The shape of this chestnut is indeed magnificant and totally unique and you have done well in capturing it!
The details here are very nice and the colors lovely for a winter landscape.
I also like the lighting and the exposure - which is spot-on.
I'm not too sure on the composition...don't get me wrong, it's very nice...but maybe it's a bit too centered (although i don't know the surroundings...maybe they didn't allow anything else).

Anyway, very nice work.
Bravo and TFS

Hello Jeanmarie , A Beautifull old tree very good compositie colours details and colours ,tfs Greetings Teunie .

What a grand old tree, JeanMarie. I like the composition you chose to record it. The light and shadow on the trunk is very effective. I suspect that your image lost some saturation on upload to TN. It looks much richer when I drag it to my desktop.

Nice work
