The colors on this starling are stunning, Heinz. Although the back of it is OE, you have captured the vibrancy of its plumage. The focus is a bit soft, but the POV is great. Well done and TFS. : )

I know these birds, they are hard to catch on pictures. That are wonderful colours. I like the light on his shoulders. Great job.

Hi Heinz!
Fantastic colours and just superb bird. i love this pose too!
Good shot!

Great POV and pose here Heinz! Very unique coloration seen in this specie also. Despite the previously mentioned shortcomings, A nice capture.. TFS!

Gruss dich Heinz. Good image, very colourful and well composed. A little soft on the focus on the birds head and I would have darkened some of the background to the left. Well done, Rob

Lovely looking bird Heinz,
Good detail and good POV. Good colours. Good composition. Excellent DOF and framing. The OE is a problem, but because of the notes, and that this is the first royal starling I've seen, it makes this shot well worth two points. :)
Well captured, thanks for posting.
Have a good week.

Excellent shot!Colours&DOF ARE VERY NICE.

Gorgeous colors on this bird, Heinz. I tried to photograph a sterling recently and had trouble getting the colors in the light, so I truly appreciate the exposure issue! Beautiful photo :-)

Hi Heinz,

What a beautiful bird. This is the first time I have seen one. The picture looks slightly over exposed on the back of the bird. TFS.

Light was very strong here, but colours look great. Slightly OE in back but it isn't big problem. Bird look superb.

Very good post Heinz! I like the note, composition and color. Since you took this in low light, you do have a bit of noise, but this is only a minor nit as you brought me something that I have not seen before - Which is of course one of the things this site is about.

Thank you
