[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Not only adult dragonflies are attractive objects, but also their larvae and even the exuviae appear interesting objects for photographers.
Here, I present the exuviae of a large dragonfly, probably of the genus Aeshna (Odonata, Aeshnidae).
The picture was taken in the wonderful botanical garden of the Ruhr-University in Bochum, Germany.

Hello Mr.Peter,
First time I am in your picture gallery attracting by this 'Dead Eyes' caption.
Needless to say it's an beautiful work. But what I like most is its total sharpness with splendid metallic colour.Soft light illuminate the subject nicely.Green BG is helpful to concentrate on the subject.I haven't seen Dragonfly Larvae before.
Thanks for your contribution here in TN,
Kind regards,
Srikumar

Lieber Peter,
Anne

Beautiful image with nice background and good colors

Perfect photo with incredible detail and good light. Nice setting and excellent colours.
Interesting to see the larvae.
I also have the E-5 and would strongly recommend the 50 mm macro lens.
