In search of eggs
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|In search of eggs, I found this one attached to a flower of Cardamine pratensis.|
It is an egg of the Orange Tip butterfly,
Size of the egg: a little bit more than 1 mm!
The species was absent from our region, the Ruhr-District, for a long time but returned and is rather common meanwhile.

Hi Peter, this is a great scoop, and very interesting too,Anthocaris is one of my prefered butterfly but always difficult to take because very very nervous..ehehe...a very useful post of this micro egg,the detail are not the best but were impossible to do better with things so small..ehehe..Happy Easter and thanks for share,Luciano
Peter, you make an occasional come back here on TN.
Thanks for being with us once again with this very curious phenomenon of nature.
That the egg of Orange Tip is so very small makes this macro a valuable document of nature.
Thanks and regards.
Ciao Peter, fantastic macro with amazing details, splendid sharpness and wonderful colors, very well done, my frend, ciao Silvio
