Here is a shot of my archive - from my favourite insect - a dragonfly.
I miss them so much now in winter and hope to see many of them in summer again.
I love their big eyes - watching you so curious - an also the flash is no problem for them.

This is a female Ruddy Darter (Sympetrum sanguineum) It's a European species of dragonfly of the family Libellulidae.

The Ruddy Darter attains a wingspan of up to 6 cm. The head, thorax and abdomen of the male are vivid red, while the female is slightly smaller, and is a golden-yellow colour with black markings.
They can be found between the months of July and November.

Fantastic macro capture Wishnu! Amazing sharp details and clarity of image, love the low POV and great illumination from flash. I am considering this Tamron or 100mm Canon macro lens myself, both are excellent glass. Very well done.

Guten Abend Sabine,
das hast wieder ein Ding heraus gelassen. Super Potrait! Sehr gute Schärfe und excellente Perspektive. Danke für dieses schöne Foto.
Gruß Heinz

Beautiful shot with great detail, colors and lighting. Not a Ruddy Darter however, they have all black legs, this one has pale stripes, it's the Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum).
Well.. details, like the picture a lot.

Very nice detailed picture of this sympetrum. Like you i hardly can't wait till they fly around again. Seeing sometimes photo's like this makes it a little better.

Brilliant macro Sabine, I especially like the low POV and amazingly sharp details.

Can you imagine having to kiss this face goodbye in the morning?

Great job, I thank you for sharing it, and please keep digging in your treasure box of archives, there are gems to be found it appears...

This is what I call perfect close-up Sabine! This dragon looks like kissing you ;-) Incredible details and POV.

Hi Sabine,
this was close! It's a bit soft but still a very good macro.
Well compsed, the low POW is very good, and nice colours.
Even at F16 the DOF is a bit shallow, but thats how it is in the macro-world.
Very well done.

Hi Sabine,
A face only a mother (or photographer) could love. Great job on this extreme macro. Very good exposure from your flash. The colors and detail look great. Another excellent job.

Hello, this is a vey good macro of this dragonfly. The details and lighting are very good and I like the POV. The dragon is definitely not a ruddy darter as they have legs all black. This to me looks like a female common darter Sympetrum striolatum I'd have to have a better look to be absolutely certain.

Well done.

powiem tylko jedno: NIESAMOWITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to have such macro lenses someday.
One is sure, you perfectly know how to use them. It's another amazing shot from you.
I like it a lot!

Great macro, composition and colours!
Good note!
