Hi Sabine,
I think many of us have missed you, and many of us had the same problem with being active on TL. I think it also has to do with the weather and the long dark periods. But I am surely glad to see you back. And to see one of the first spring photos from Europe. As always, you are so good with your macro lens, the details and light are just perfect. I just love the see the fresh colors back again.

das ist ein schönes sonniges Bild, mit dem du die 10.000er Grenze überschreiten wirst!? Trotz aller Schönheit kann ich mich über die geöffneten Krokusse, auch in unserem Garten, nicht so recht freuen, sind sie für diese Zeit doch Zeichen des Klimawandels. Ich habe gestern und heute auch die 'Frühlingsboten' dokumentiert.
Trotzdem: dein Bild ist gelungen und ein interessantes Naturdokument.

I love the detail on this bee. The pollen is excellent, and every hair on the bee is visible. The colours are wonderful and clearly show spring is making attempts to arrive. I have both primrose and daffodil in flower in my garden!

I am glad you found such a subject in this time of the year, but I am a bit worried, I have seen several posts of these days of insects and flowers all over europe... this is not normal in february, I think.
The shot as always very nice, sharp and detailed with a great DOF and colours.

This is really a hight quality image!
I like a lot the POV and all the clear and sharp details got, the transparencies on the wings are so good, besides the polen attached at the head.
Excellent DOF used, everythind in first plane focused, and the background puted away.
Very good the fill flash used, got outstanding illmination.

I see you are a TN legend! I can see why...

This photo is really good, it reminds me off a fat kid just putting his face in a plate of food! The bee is really tucking in here.

The Tamron 90mm boasts superb optics and this is revealed in this image, which has a fantastic sharpness and clarity.

One minor criticism would be that the stalks in the background are a little distracting and while blurred could have been thrown out of focus further by using a wider aperture. Possibly using a lower viewpoint would have given more dramatic composition.

Sorry to hear you were so busy lately...at least i had a better reasong for my absence from TN :)

Anyway, it's great to hear that all that is over and it's lovely to see some new photos from you!
I see that spring had come to Germany already (it used to be very warm here to up to about 4-5 days ago, when it got very cold again :(( )
The colors and details of this beautiful macro are simply outstanding!
The flash is also very well managed and the DOF is great, keeping everything is very good focus!
