Egretta garzetta. It lives in marshes, shallow fresh and coastal waters, usually breeding in trees and near water. Here, in lake Kerkini's western shore. The lake was formed in 1932, when a dam was built on Strymon river. It is the wildlife-richest habitat in Greece and one of the ten water-reserves protected by Ramsar Treaty.

Hello Theologos,
Very pleasing habitat shot showing four Little Egrets in a fine composition. Excellent lighting and colours.
Regards, Ivan

belle présentation de ces oiseaux sur un bon fond, pour ma part j'aurai peut-être recoupé un peu la photo afin de voir les oiseaux de plus prés, bien vu, merci du partage, amitiès

Great image Theologos!
Good color depth of field and positioning.
IHMO I think removing the forth Egret on the right would make this image stronger. Great notes!
