Acrida ungarica mediterranea is a subspecies of Acrida ungarica commonly found in South Mediterranean countries. It is a phytophagus species not harmful on cultivated plants. Its body is slender that can reach 40-70 mm in females, 25-40 mm in males.
The head is elongated cone-shaped and has antennas flattened to spearhead. The livery from green to brown, depending on the environment.

Cuadrada.Oportuno composition perfect time to catch when the insect moves across a field of clover contrasts perfectly against the brown of her body, appreciating every detail of it.It would have been nearly impossible on some dry grass where they are almost invisible. Nikos Congratulations !!!
