Bombus terrestris (Linnaeus, 1758)
Hymenoptera: Apidae
Common name: Bumble bee, buff-tailed bumblebee

Bombus terrestris, the buff-tailed bumblebee or large earth bumblebee, is one of the most numerous bumblebee species in Europe. In addition, Bombus terrestris is the largest of the European bumblebee species. It is one of the main species used in greenhouse pollination, and so can be found in many countries and areas where it is not native, such as Tasmania. Moreover, it is a eusocial insect with an overlap of generations, a division of labor, and cooperative brood care. The queen is monandrous which means she mates with only one male. B. terrestris workers learn flower colors and forage efficiently.

Hello Nikos,
Very nice macro in excellent sharpness and details. Beautiful natural colours and a fine composition.

Hello Nikos,
Although you are older than me, more experienced, more wise and know this materialistic world better than me, but if you don't mind and love photography, then COMMENT regularly (if possible and if you have time), here in TN as much as you can. Then you'll get more feedback (if you truly want to learn more) from other member. If you don't COMMENT much, you'll not get feedback. Even you can see this in TN guidelines. As an example, I don't COMMENT much, those who don't have time to spend on my photographs to give a comment "Whether it's good or bad; or how can I improve". What I think personally, I say. I have nothing to lose here except gaining. If you don't like, then don't use "Green smiles", just COMMENT is enough; like what Yves does. But you know those "Point Hungry" members (smile), be aware of them (smile). A few of them CAMOUFLAGED recently! If you post OUT OF FOCUS photograph, they will say "Excellent Focus".
By the way, your photographs are far better than your previous photographs. I think Nikon D5200 and Tamron 90mm play a important role. Enjoy photography and keep shooting.

Best regards,
Srikumar

Hello Nikos,
A new type of bee for me and a real beauty. I like it's buff colored hind end which is very unique, at least it is for me. Razor sharp focus displaying incredible detail. The thistle bloom is also very pretty, it's lavender petals compliment the black, yellow and buff colors of the bee. Nicely framed and showing plenty of DOF.

Beautiful, as my vocabulary is short so my praise is also in short hope that it be accepted, greetings.

Hello Nikos,
Nice image with this bumblebee specie common in my country. It is not difficult to take a shot because this insect is not moving fast.
Marius.
