Eurydema spectabilis Horvath 1882
Hemiptera: Pentatomidae
Eurydema spectabilis is a very common pentatomid in Crete. It cause occasionaly damage on cultivated plants as in wild plants as well e.g. Capparis spinosa. Anyway the damage is not so important in cultivated plants but severe in Capparis spinosaea leaves on which it develops densse population ( I posted a picture on WS) |

Hello Nikos,
A wonderful shot of this brightly colored shield bug. The vertical branch makes for an attractive composition. Focus is very sharp displaying excellent detail. The WS image is also great as we get to view a large group in their natural habit. Well done!!
