|Anemone hortensis ssp heldreichii|
A wide spread endemic wild anemone in Crete flowering from end of January to thye end of February. It is short to medium parennial plant 20-40cm height. Its flower 3-6cm diametre are solitary, fragnant ranging in color of petals from white, bluish-purple to deep purple and numerous bluish or violet stamens and blue anthers.
It thrives on hills, uncultivated lands from sea level up to 1200m.

Hi Nikos,it's springtime in Crete as i can see with these 3 magnificent pics showing us the anemone in different colors. I must to wait 2 months in the northen Italy..hhee...the main pic is fantastic,a lovely decentralized composition made in a wonderful sharpness and correct exposure,very well done!
