Strange As Bird's Milk

Today I wanted to share another pic, but had the strangest experience on TrekNature ever. A few days ago I tried to help a young Hungarian user with ID specification and critique. But got an arrogant reply - this is the first time ever I see a sulky feedback to a positive comment. I even bookmarked the photo as one of my faves. Seems like it wasn't enough to the user.

For the user's request I translated my critique to English. You can read it here if interested.

And why I chose this plant, Ornithogalum umbellatum? Because this was featured on the user's photo.

Not rare in Hungary, in fields and bright deciduous forests / parks. ID specification's easy due to the greenish outer side of the petals (see workshop). Blossoming in April - May here. The genus name, both in Latin and Hungarian language ("madártej") means "bird milk".

Photo was taken in a field near Bükkszentkereszt village, on ca. 600 meters asl. PP: moderate cropping, noise reduction, selective sharpening, framing, signing, re-sizing. WS photo was done in a park in Miskolc, where this plant lives wildly.

Thanx for stopping by and commenting, and from now be careful to write positive critiques to the user mates, especially to new ones...

I marked your note as useful. In fact I enjoyed myself, reading the story :)))... I only say one thing: in one ear, out the other!
Both photos, this one and "your friend's" are very nice. They compliment each other perfectly. Very nice composition and elegant lights on this one.
Thanks for your kind comments on my photo...BTW I accept briefing :)

Hi Laslo. I hope you are well my friend.
This looks very similar to some of our little native wildflowers in the mountains. A lovely composition.
I had to laugh at your story.
People new to critiquing often get offended at first, especially if they are young. I hope they keep posting.
I'll try to post something myself when I can get the size down to 300 kb.

Hi Laszlo, your identification is correct,in Italy too is very common and called "latte di gallina" = chicken milk. Beautiful point of view and perfect white balance...thanks for share, have a nice weekend,Luciano

Hello Laszlo friend,
Nice shot today MF, greatly composed! I like a lot the flower in the foreground on the right and the other "diffuse" in background at left. Really is a great way to compose and take advantage of depth of field wisely. Good work! This picture is visually captivating friend Laszlo. This picture makes me think that I have many wild flowers here, but I've never posted pictures of them ... hummm! I should post a picture of flowers in the future!

With regard to the response you received to your criticism of the pictures of your young peasant .... Well ... I can tell you! ... The world is full of people stranger than the milk of a bird! ... ha ... ha ... ha ... :)

Regards, have nice weekend my Friend, hugs!

About the discussion between you and Sandor...is regrettable that little incident!

Hi Laszlo. Beautiful close up capture of this Ornithogalum with nice details, POV and composition. In last months we saw so many arrogancy examples on TN and you have lived a similar one.
thanks for sharing

Beautiful white flower in good composed image, keeping the other flower out of focus is good idea, fine image.
that's strange about the member's response.

Hello Laszlo,
Very fine flower. I like your decentred composition and the very beautiful colour-combination, white and green.
Best regards Siggi

Szia Bareatom Laszlo:)

Very nice composition of this "featured" beauty:) and the right one is well positioned and the blurred background doesn't compete with it. Focus is spot-on right one. Now i started to love running across such arrogant and meaningless reactions like this when I'm surfing on TN, it really makes your day:) There are so many different kind of peoples here trying to make somethings, but i am sure they can not understand themselfs as well. I am seeing so peoples who woould like to help on their shots' ids although he/she is avoiding in commenting my shots. Do not care such peoples and ignore them MF! This is better solution i think:)
TFS this beauty and also sharing your experience:)
Best regards and have a nice WE Barea!

Hi Laszlo

Ha ha, don't worry about, all of us who have been here for a while get this sort of response from time to time. Just ignore and keep critiquing, some people just don't get it.

A pleasnat shot of your birds milk, good sharpness and composition. TFS the great story.

Ciao Lazlo. Good contrast and DOF for this handsome flower in perfect details.

Hi Laszlo.
I like how you have presented these wonderful flowers. Combination of sharp image of one of them and nicely blurred image of another flower is very impressive. DOF and exposure are selected precisely. Smoothness of an image is felt as a silk. Soft lighting and delicate colours are also very pleasant for look. TFS and kind regards.

Hallo Laszlo
A lovely macro from your lens. What a delight to look at such a beautiful shot, filled with soft and almost pure colours. The detail captured is great and pleasant to look at and admire. The striking white flower is very beautiful and eye-catching. I like the one flower in the background that is blurred out. Thanks for sharing this pretty image. Best regards

Bonjour Laszlo,
Trčs belle composition bien équilibrée mettant bien le sujet en valeur par l'appréciation de la finesse des détails.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hi László. I can see that you have handled this camera well in your uploads. The vivid details of the stamen are always important to me when viewing flowers and you have done well in this department. Love the little fragile white petals against the smooth silenced green backdrop. Great shot and have a nice day. Jusni
