Good evening everyone,

As my first post in 2015 I try to share a species which never before popped up on the pages of TrekNature: Russula acetolens Rauschert (= R. lutea Sacc.), an occasional, locally more or less common species from the huge and notoriously difficult genus Russula.

Photographed last autumn on my Hungarian trip, in the Bükk National Park, closed to Bükkszentkereszt village, on altitude of ca. 500 metres above sea level, in manual exposure mode. PP: very slight level and color adjustment.

Although the popularity of TrekNature seems to decrease nowadays, I'll be here in 2015 also with my weekly upload and comments. Cheers!

Hi Laszlo.A new species is always a great satisfaction, especially if it comes from our coutries. This is truly beautiful, you know how much I like this POV, and the quality is exceptional, as the exposure ,and a lovely slightly off-center composition. I am glad to read that you will be here again this year, unfortunately too many people have left without even saying goodbye.Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano

Hi Laszlo!
Congrats on introducing a new species of fungus on TN. This is a very fine shot in very good sharpness and details. Very good contrast with greenish BG; dried up leaves and a sort of warm light are adding beauty here. Thanks for sharing,
Best Regards,

Hello Laszlo,
nice photo mushromm,Happy New Year,regards..

Dear Laszlo,
invitingly crisp and clear, and also a beautiful composition with areas of warm and of cool colours diagonally separated, and the main subject perfectly placed. A sheer delight to see the indirect light under the mushroom's cap. One of TN's recent attractions. Thank you! With best regards,

Hello Laszlo, Congratulations on a TN first!
Your first post of 2015 turns out to be a beauty. I really like the very low POV you managed to capture and the colors are well saturated yet natural. I'm sure you had to be lying on your stomach to achieve such a nice angle.
I love the lighting, especially on the cap. There is just enough shadow to give it DOF and an almost 3D effect. The tiny bit of leaf litter and soil on it's top makes it appear to have just popped up. Excellent focus and just the right amount of exposure. Great shot!!

perfect light...

Hello László

A great macro of this fungi, the low POV at the subject's level
that you choose with the framing, with the lateral light
coming to the subject and the subject's gold color tones
are the beauty of this photo, TFS
