[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Today I'd like to show You a mythical hill from the Bükk mountains: Dédes Tower. There was a tower on it, which was an important fortress in the Middle Ages, til 1567, when Hassan 2nd, the pasha of Temesvár (now Timisoara in Romania) attacked it with a huge Turkish army. But they weren't able to occupy the fortress, the few remaining Hungarian soldiers has broken out through a secret tunnel, and undermined the fortress. It has exploded just at the moment when the Turkish army entered the tower. Lots of soldiers died, and as a revenge, Hassan 2nd totally ruined the remains of the fortress. You can see what's left for today in the workshop.

Photo was taken from another rock named "Small Tower" - in spite of its name, there was never any fortress on it at all. You can see these hills from another sighting rock by clicking here.

Those interested in geography and would like to know where these hills exactly are, the names of the villages You can see on the photo from left to right: Nagyvisnyó, Dédestapolcsány and Mályinka.

Title was taken from a talented local techno-power/thrash metal band 'The Bedlam', who had their 2nd demonstration tape under the same title in 1990. I thought it fits well to the photo.

PP: simple 5-piece panorama, stitching with HP Image Zone + the usual framing, signing, re-sizing with Photoshop. I hope You'll like the pic.

Szia Laci!

I like the panoramic comp Laszlo,
The LP version looks excellent.
Very nice, thanks for sharing this beautiful image :)
