Dear TNers,

For my pleasure, 2 great photographers, Felipe (extramundi) and Steve (LordPotty) returned to the site and started to post their beautiful fungi images almost daily. Chris (sandpiper2) also shared his exceptional mushroom shots in the last few days - so there's no excuse for me today, I have to post something...

I chose this one, Pluteus aurantiorugosus for the following reasons:

1. It's a new species on TN, wasn't shared here before.
2. On Friday we (my sons and me) go to a 3-day fungi hunting trip to the Zemplén Mountains, where this shot was done, when we were on a trip with my classmates from the mycological course. Now many of my ex-classmates will be there again - it'll be nice to meet them.

Photo: was done in the Zemplén Mountains, not far from Rudabányácska village, with my son's R607. Flash, out of hand, semi-manual exposure (as far as that camera allows). Very few PP like noise reduction and selective sharpening (+ framing, re-sizing).

I hope you'll like this spectacular treasure growing on rotten wood. In the workshop You can see a photo of the caps. Thanks for your time and interest.

Hallo Laszlo
I am just as happy as you are with the come back of Felipe and Steve, but also some other photographers have popped up after a long time of no see.

Only two words needed to describe this wonderful image, filled with lots of qualities to appreciate, bright colours and stunning details shown with excellent clarity and that is Perfect photography and that is no lie. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hello Laszlo.
I am glad you are happy we returned, but I am afraid that I am bothering you too much with my ident problems :)
You have a very beautiful Pluteus, the ones I find around here are usually dull or ochre coloured. The photo is really good considering the equipmet used :)
Thanks for the workshop too, both shots are very descriptive, as always.
If I have time today I will post something special for you, I am sure I will only receive your critic and maybe some other fungi lover, at it is not very "beautiful" :)))
Regards, Felipe.

Nice capture of those mushrooms, looking so fragile.
Well done.
Best regards.Alin.

Hello Laszlo,
the texture of the wood in the background give a good colour contrast. The fungi itself is beautiful with yellow shining head. The details are always as sharp as always.
The delicate body is very well expressed here.
So moist and so fragile.
Nice composition.
I have not been seeing fungi in my place lately due to dry weather.

Hi Laszlo
Wonderful close view of these three Pluteus aurantiorugosus. The soft lighting brings out their golden colour nicely and sharp detail. Thanks for sharing this new species here on TN.
TFS Janice

Hello Laszlo
the orange hats are very well highlighted against this woody surroundings thanks the natural lighting, superb POV and composition
a wonderful shot !!
Have a great sunday

Hello Laszlo,
Once again you have managed to put my imagination into top drive.
I can just see the little fairies in there orange colored dresses and their soft orange colored wings playing around on the beautiful fungi. The colors are beautiful and details and POV are excellent. Very well done my friend and thanks for sharing.

Hi Laszlo,
Sorry it has tooked me so ,long to comment on this.
I thought I already had, doh :)
This is a lovely shot of these beautiful Pluteus. Quite different to the strikingly patterned Pluteus velutinornatus that we find here.
I don't think I've seen this orange one.
Nice work and nice to see you posting again too.
Cheers & TFS

Hello Laszlo,

I see this year very early in the morning already muchrooms in the meadows, through the rain period the last time.
These are very nice taken, good light and lovely position.
Color and presentation are perfect.

Best regards,

Dear Laszlo,
Thank you for presenting to TrekNature Pluteus aurantiorugosus.

According to all googled articles it is very rare and many Fungi lovers - one after 50 years of looking for them - has never seen one before! So, no surprise to be the first on TrekNature!

Thanks so much.

I find it very interesting, how the stem in the foreground is still transparent and not yet white like the bigger ones. Does this mean, it is not long since this fungi has reach the surface?

The bright orange is beautiful particularly shown in the workshop!

Have a nice evening

Ciao Ladislao,
una splendida macro di questi funghi dai colori solari, perfetta esposizione con l'utilizzo del flash, anche se si perde un po' la caratteristica atmosfera ambientale, ottima nitidezza e piacevolissima composizione.
Grazie e complimenti
Buon proseguimento di fine settimana
Ciao Maurizio
