[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

No fungi today, but something as nice as them: Lilium bulbiferum, known as Fire Lily or Orange Lily. Native to Europe (Mediterranean - subalpine zone), North Africa and North America (California), but also a cultivated plant in gardens. In Hungary it's only living wildly in the Bükk mountains, very rare. For example: I'm 36 years old, am a hiker from my very little childhood, but never ever saw this plant. The very same goes to my father, except for he's 64. This is the 1st time we met this wonderful specie on one of our trips.

Photo was done on a field name "Goat-Foot Field" on the Bükk Plateau. I've made several photos, but decided to upload this one, because I wanted You to see it wasn't shot in any garden, but in the real wild nature. As a workshop, You can see a close-up of the lily (we found ca. 10 plants). No post-procession at all except for a very little exposure correction, sharpening, framing, signing and re-sizing. I hope You like it.

To local (Hungarian) people: bár itt és itt egyaránt a Kecskeláb-rétet jelöltem meg a fotó készítésének helyéül, ez csak részben fedi a valóságot. A fokozottan védett, ritka növény termőhelyét annak megóvása céljából tartom titokban, nem fotográfusi önzésből. Megértésedet köszönöm.

Gratulálok a felfedezéshez, fotóhoz! Erdélyben sem gyakori ez a faj, én elég sokat járom a természetet, de eddig csak 1 helyen találtam, ahol néhány éve még több pld.volt, ma már csak 1-2 tö, ha maradt.Ezért kell félteni!

Stunning shot of this beautiful lily in all around. Great DOF, POV and framing. TFS my friend.

Bonjour Laszlo,
C'est trčs belle composition avec une belle opposition de la fleur sur un arričre plan relativement net compte tenu de l'exposition.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

good dof with it's natural growing surrounding with lust greenery!
many thanks for the sharing

Hello Laszlo. Even though no fungi, this is just a stunning capture of the flower. What I like about your composition is the way you kept the perspective wide for the view of the habitat. Well framed and placement of the flower. I like it and thanks for sharing. Best regards. Jusni

Hello Laszlo,

The single flower stands out well in this fine landscape!
Good colours that contrast well with the greenery, and the composition is nicely balanced with a fine feeling of depth...

Hello Laszlo,
a very distinguishing flower shot that separate the beauty and its blurry background. Well thought ans excellently executed with great sharpness and clarity.
the composition is excellent with well divided fg and Bg.
Additional and complementary subjects are well chosen to make this shot a very brilliant one.

Hi Lazlo,

this are an beautiful scenery.
The flower nice out the center, beautiful different green colours.

Szia Laci!

With the background the landscape scenery
of this photo it is very beautiful, fine POV
and the way you framed the flower in the image,
and great contrast of its color tones
against the colors of the rest of the photo, TFS

Hi Laszlo,
thank you so much for your kind visit to such a lady a few weeks ago.
Most beautiful to find the very rare Orange Queen imbedded in the lush green vegetation of your homeland's hills in early summer. Congratulations!
Thank you. With friendly regards,
