[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
During our trip to an abandoned bauxit mine my girfriend looked down then she suddenly stopped. We were climbing up and the road to the top was narrow. She said she wouldn't go that way because of "that". I started to look around to see what she was talking about then I recognised. I was happy becasue that little creature stayed there. So I took a position and then I tried to make a good macro. I may have to mention that the colour of the environment and the colour of the insect is very similar to each other. Now it easy to see it on the ground from this distance but if you were two steps away you wouldn't see it. I am sure this little creature change its colour according to the environment. I know that the Omocestus viridulus do the same but I do not believe this is the same species. If you recognise it please share with me. Thank you in advance. |

Hi Csaba
Unfortunately I can not help you with the ID or any other information. I discovered your image when trawling TN for animals changing colour.
An interesting Photo
