Dear Trekkers,

Today I only wanted to comment Your images, without uploading any of my shots, but when clicking our beloved TrekNature my "Fungi of Hungary" theme was featured on the main site... Plus, a few days ago I got the latest issue of the quarterly published local mycological magazine Magyar Gombász ("Hungarian Fungi Hunter"), with an article of me + a lot of my photos (Hungarian-speaking people can get informations about the magazine, published by the Hungarian Mycological Society here). This photo was one of those which was published in the mag, together with this, this, this and this one + this from TrekLens and another one not uploaded anywhere yet.

So, being such happy I feel I have to share my first ever Hygrocybe photo with You, showing Hygrocybe persistens. Very varying specie, quite uneasy to identify correctly (thanks Maestro Marco!).

Hygrocybe species are growing on fields and grassy territories where animal manure is very few or totally absent. I found this fruitbody, my 1st ever Hygrocybe I was able to photograph with acceptable result here, on this field - of course not in winter as the linked image shows the area.

I'm glad to share my joy, thanks for viewing. Regards, László

Hallo Laszlo
As I mentioned before, my knowledge of fungi is minimal, but I can tell you that this image you have posted today is very striking. The colour of this golden yellow fungi is magic and a sheer delight to look at. It display so well against the greenery as backdrop. Thanks also for interesting reading material provided. It was a pleasure to stop at such a beautiful image. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hi Laszlo
took me several minutes to find out the meaning of your words: Hi neighbor LOL
striking colors indeed!
May I suggest to cut away the upper part, the sky being a bit disturbing in your composition with beautiful contrast golden fungus versus green grass

Hi Laszlo,
wow...again another beautiful image. Very classical lonely fungi standing among the green grass a contrasting view.
I like the shine on the cap and the natural surrounding. I notive you clear the base for better view. an advice that i will always remember.
