I don't get to see many fungi here in the desert so really enjoy them on TN. This cluster is just beautiful - they seem to be climbing out of the tree trunk. Wonderful lighting, colors and details. The setting is magnificent and a superb composition. I love how the trees frame the mushrooms.

Excellent shot. It is really difficult to take such a beautiful pictures of fungi. The parallelly standing trees in the bg rhyme well with the fungi in the front. Also I love the colours, specially the green of the trees. Gives the feeling of a nice cool and pristine forest. Thanks a lot for sharing.

I love the way that you have managed to show this photo of fungi in the wider setting of the natural environment, and I really appreciate your notes on how to achieve this. I don't know what programme you use, but with my basic version of photoshop, it seems impossible to blur backgrounds or add framing as you have done here.
Your knowledge of fungi is impressive! I must buy a guide the next time I am in the UK.
Have a great weekend.
Warm regards, Amelia

Warm eye pleasing capture Lazlo! Extraordinary point of view, great composition, natural colors and detail. It is understandable the great bunch of comments received from the members of TN! Bravo, my friend you have just proved that an art can be created even with compact pocket camera! Speaking of that I just recently both the ultimate compact Canon G11 for my wife and I am just amazed from it's tiny sensor! The quality of the image even cropped to a 100% is very close to that one of a 10MP DSLR! Wow! Have a great day and all the best Lazlo!
