My 200th upload... I was searching a lot in my archives what to upload for this occasion. A fungal image? Non-fungal? And which one? What helped me this species, Amanita vittadinii is protected in Hungary by the laws, but used to be more and more common in nitrophilous fields, lawns, even in city parks (where this photo was also taken). Plus, I participate in a photo contest with this image which is closed today (I don't know the result yet).

Species: Amanita vittadinii (Moretti) Sacc. belongs to the subgenus Lepidella and within it to section Lepidella. Edible, but without real gastronomic value. Living in Eurasia, more common in East Europe and rare in West. The only Amanita species living saprotrophic life without having mycorrhizal connection with a tree.

Photo: in the park named "People's Garden" (where I detected 94 species in the last 3 years), late afternoon. PP: color balance, white balance correction, selective sharpening, noise reduction. I hope you can forgive me there's a human made structure in the background.

Thanks for looking and your comments.

Hello László,
The POV, composition and slightly OOF BG would suggest that this portrayal is a good candidate for a prize in the photo contest that you entered.
This species of Amanita appears to be absent from Scandinavia so it is nice to see this and read about it in your excellent note.
Thanks and good luck!

Congratulations László!

I like few things in your picture. Firstly - very interesting and rare specie which looks like something from Macrolepiota for first look but of course it isn't :-) Secondly I like low POV with lots of grass and house very similiar to ones from my settlement. Colours are excellent. Good work as always my Friend!

Congratulations Laszlo on your 200th post.
The Amanita vittadinii is another unique and interesting looking fungi. It's very upright fungi with lovely layers of skin which seem to catch the light. It's a real beauty.

Hi Bro, sorry i`ve missed your 200th posting. Really i noticed now. Congratulations on this milestone! Great choice to celebrate this event! The low POV so effective here like your all presentations. You deserve a fine tribute:) indeed. By the way, i photographed a mushroom resembling a copulation organ:) I think a Boletus species. When i return to Turkey' i`ll send you for id:) be sure! ha ha..

Hi, dear Laszlo.
My warm congratulations on 200th post as well as all others. Thanks also for useful and honest comments. They are very welcomed. I am impressed with your wonderful shots always. Your glance on Nature is very interesting, your works are well recognized. This one is no exception. I am amazed with DOF and subject: small mushroom and large human construction. Well done and many new fine pictures to you.

Ciao Ladislao,
altra splendida immagine con un ottimo punto di ripresa per un'interpretazione "postmoderna".
Grazie e complimenti
Ciao Maurizio

Hello Laszlo!
Fine idea, fine theme, very fine take. Ideal point of view and capture.
Well done!

Congratulations on your 200th, László. You have been the source for TN when it comes to fungi and I am happy to be the one tapping that resources.
This is an amazing shot and the texture of the fruit-body is unique. Fabulous lighting and well composed scenery.
The again for helping me out with the IDs and greetings from Malaysia during this holiday season.
Kind regards - Jusni
