[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

A few days have gone since my last upload, so it's time to post again. This time about a small yet very spectacular fungi species, Sarcoscypha austriaca (O. Beck ex Sacc.) Boud., which is common in the Central / Northern European region, also in North America, on fallen small branches of deciduous trees.

Photo: done a few kilometers from the city of Eger, I used flash and Raynox DCR-250 macro converter lens. PP (Ulead Photoimpact / Neat Image): moderate cropping, simple frame, re-sizing, noise reduction, selective sharpening.

Probably not my most artistic image, but I wanted to share this bunch of red spring jewels with you. Thanks for your feedback.

PS: just realized it's the 4th photo of this species in my gallery... Seems like it's my favorite... Previous posts if interested: I; II and III.

Hello Laszlo,
You are right, these fungis are spectacular by their color and special shape. I understand that they are among your favorites. A cute trio you show here! On my screen sharpness appears a little bit just.
Have a nice weekend you and your family
Kind regards

Hello MF Laszlo,
such a pretty trio well captured in exciting view. The capture is so original in its surrounding which I believe needs real patient to shoot and compose.
you did so well.
A new specie for me.
Excellent job.

Very glad to see these rare red jewels, beautiful species. tfs.

Hello my dear friend Laszlo Dr. Fungus!
Glad to hear that you continue in TN, gladly show your fungus!
Nice copy, beautifully contrasting with a curious structure. It certainly lacks some sharpness in the picture, perop not always go well! ... I can attest that photographing mushrooms is a very complicated thing to do!
Sending a big hello, thanks for sharing! Happy Sunday!

Hello Laszlo,

Colourful eye-catchers indeed!
The trio theme adds impact, and the fungi are captured with good details...
Good light and fine colour reproduction!

Hi Laszlo.
Very cute species and you have presented them very nice. I like their attractive shapes and vivid colours, Surroundings are very natural and shown very well too. How you managed to find so many attractive fungi? In our steppe I almost dot not meet them. My greetings and TFS.

Hi Laszlo,
Well framed and good composition.Sharpness and exposure nicely done.Interesting details, well taken.

Hello László

Excellent macro of these fungi that are amazing
because they look like vase for plant or flower
and the left one like if the vase is broken,
Fine POV, beautiful light, excellent focus
sharpness and details, TFS

Hello László,
Yes, we have this striking fungus here and we tried to look for it this spring but didn't find it: better luck next year perhaps!
But it is a nice compensation to see this fine capture Sarcoscypha, the use of flash making it look like this was taken in full sunshine. The colours are natural and the sharpness perfect.
Thanks for sharing this and have a great weekend,

Hello Laszlo,
Beautiful colours and shapes of this fungus. A slight lack of sharpness but definitely worth two points from me. Best wisehes.
