This river goes by the name ÷xarŠ (Axe River) and the waterfall is called ÷xarŠrfoss. It's in the heart of řingvellir, one of the (if not the) best known places in Iceland.

What a place!
I love the immensity of the surroundings.

Hi Ari,
This is what I call rough nature. Those boulders and rock formation look huge. It looks like winter was still controling nature in April. The composition is good, with the falls nicely offset to the left. I would have tried to get a little more FG interest from the rock on the right. The cloud looks a little on the bright side. A grad ND filter or CP filter would have helped. Besides that, the scenery is wonderful.
