Dear Trekkers,

Something not fully identified from me today: an inkcap, most probably from the genus Parasola, because the caps weren't inky even at old age - but the proper ID specification is impossible without microscopic analysation. However you can have a key to coprinoid mushrooms here.

Location: Belleek Woods was planted in the early 19th century by the landlords at that time, the Knox Gore family. A couple millions of deciduous and coniferous trees were planted, many of them are still growing today. It's a paradise of fungi as it seems, however in late May I didn't find too much. Further mycological investigation of the forest would be necessary.

Photo: handheld, shutter priority mode. PP: adjusting brightness, midtones in shadows / highlights, moderate cropping, selective sharpening on the caps.

Hi Laszlo,i see all your style, your typical pov that I like very much with the forest scenery in the background, I would have given a bit of flash light, but anyway I appreciate your "natural" choice, excellent details and perspective too.Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

Witaj Wladyslaw,
These fungi I see very often and even have in my collection. You know I like to gather mushrooms from early childhood and know edible very well but others also perceive.
Best regards, Pawel

Hello László

I answered you to your last critique on my photo
« Aerial Harassment », and what I was telling you
it is a good example here, today I am loving more
photos like this ones where the subject(s) is/are
smaller than more a closer subject photo, but in
comparing to my photo it is true that here the
subjects are covering all the frame or almost,
this is a very beautiful in the same time
with the group closer but also environmental
photo of these mushrooms, TFS

Hi Laszlo. Very well spaced subjects in perfect proportions and perspective. I'm glad you didn't use a flash. The natural light is working fine for effect. You've captured all the numerous shades of green beautifully with a nice wide DOF. I love the rich brown of the mushrooms helping to make an earthy shot. Well taken Laszlo. TFS Trevor

Hi Laszlo.
What a pictorial scene captured at impressive low POV with amazing wide DOF. All scene with perfectly detailed FG (and main subject – attractive fungi) and BG is looked nicely. Play of sunlight and deep shadows are also very attractive. Warm regards and TFS.

Hello Laszlo,
I love the extremely low POV you chose for this beautiful presentation. The composition makes you feel like you are right down there at eye level with the mushroom. Focus is super sharp allowing us to see the fine detail and textures of the unique looking fungi. Great job!!
