Thank you very much for your comments on my previous post. It was a photo from my archives, while the recent one was taken today. Finally I got some sparetime and went into the Rostellan Woods for trying and learning my new camera - how it works in sharp situations, while there literally isn't macro mode on it. And voila - I didn't need to switch anything to focus on very closed subjects, and I'm more or less satisfied with some of the pics. This species, the Sulphur Tuft (Hypholoma fasciculare (Huds.) P. Kumm.) is abundant and widespread in the whole Northern hemisphere, including Ireland, of course, and a very photogenic species in my opinion, especially when growing in great clusters.
Photo: taken in the Rostellan Woods, handheld, manual exposure mode. PP: white balance adjustment, moderate cropping, noise reduction / selective sharpening with Neat Image module after re-sizing.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Laszlo, finally a fresh pic in your archive, and what a pic. The end of summer is the best moment of the mushrooms and this is just one of the most families that appears in these days. A very nice capture and the usual top quality, the new Sont works very well!! Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

A wonderful display of fungi captured in their natural habitat. The vertical composition worked out perfectly in the instance. Excellent detail and bright yet natural color tones. The exposure is right on the money. Well done!!

Laszlo; what a magic this composition of yours; with the umbrellas in the foreground and the others; below; like a charmingly unfocused choir; and moss; and bark; and the sorceress shadow of the forest ... Congratulations !!!
A nice composition of the mushrooms with excellent details & color tones.
Thanks for sharing.
Excellent image with amazing details and natural colors. Nice specie...
Beautiful fungi; and eye catching ODD NUMBER composition. Very nice vertically framed, although OOF mushrooms in the BG bit distracting to me. Otherwise good sharpness and colour.
Thanks for sharing,
