Plum And Custard Again
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi Trekkers,
Once I already shared a photo of this species, Tricholomopsis rutilans (Schaeff.) Singer - please read the mycological infos there if interested. Due to its colours, the species is wearing the strange English name Plum-And-Custard (hence the title).
I found this nice "couple" in Gougane Barra Forest Park, which was Ireland's first nature conservation area (established in 1966), the result of an afforestation in the early 1940's. The dominant tree species is Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis).
Photo: taken with flash, ISO 80, f/8 and 1/60 sec. in manual exposure mode. I turned the camera upside down in order to flash from below, as I wanted to show both the 'plum' and the 'custard' - the purplish pink cap and the pale yellow gills.
Thanks for looking. |

Ciao Laszlo, an other beautiful couple of fungi, fine details, wonderful natural colors and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
Hello Laszlo,
Like your idea of POV to show gill and cap. Well captured with good details and colors.
About my white background Photography: I only use this technique while background looks dull. It's a different type of photography.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards and have a nice weekend,
Srikumar
