I know there are lots of robins on TN but this is special. This is mine and this is the first capture with my new gear :D.
This one looks so thoughtful. It was sun bathing on a branch in a thicket and whenever it saw a tasty bit on the ground would swoop down and then came right back.
I think this ia a female because it was not singing at all during the time I stayed with it while all around males were singing their hearts out. It was just enjoying the sun and the food.
I think there is no point in providing info on the species since this is so common on TN.
The bird is wild. The picture is as taken. No cropping, no PP whatsoever other than resize and frame.
I hope you like it!

PS It is not looking directly at the camera because it is a bit shy :).

Hello Catalin,
This title is very original and much appropriated to your nice little subject :-) Details and DOF are very good. I wonder what the same picture would have looked like with a smaller aperture. This BG is really nice and I like those colors a lot. The only thing missing is a little light in its eye but I guess it wasn't on the good angle. This is very well done! Thanks,
Claudine

good close-up of this Robin

Numai bine, Cezar.

Great portrait! Fantastic details in the feathers, maybe you should have used an even smaller aperture to get deeper depth of field.

I really like the warm colour and the closeness! Great photo!

Hello Catalin,
Wonderful portrait of this thoughtful robin:)Clear details, saturated colors,BG,lighting, exposure and pose of bird are excellent.
TFS..:-)

hello catalin,
very nice capture, well composed shot with fine pov, well saturated colours, nice point of view, shallow depth of field has resulted in nice blurry bg, simple & black framing, the only thing which is a nit is the eyes of the birs, It looks as if its hollow. I have done a ws just for thes sake of fun & hope that you may like it. your observation about this robin being a female is very interesting, Seems like you observe the object very carefully,
well done,
tfs & regards
pankaj
update : posted another workshop & hope that this time you will not be scared :-) I think i made a wrong eye in the previous ws & in the current ws i have just added shine to the eyes. It looks more natural.
best wishes.

nice color good focus

Hi Catalin,
a very nice portrait of a beautiful bird.
Good details and vivid colours.
I think you have let the camera do the PP-work and hadeset the parameter for sharpening, colours and contrats to + if
do didn't do anything afterwards in any program.
I like you Robin.
Well done.

Hello Catalin what a superb shot the detail is lovely excellent sharpness. Great portrait. Well done rgds Necip.

Hello Catalin,
Bold color and very good detail in your profile portrait..Nicely exposed, and I like the OOF BG color variation that compliments the robin so well.

Hi Catalin, wonderful Monna Lisa, splendid light and colors, excellent composition, great details, very well done, have a great week end, ciao Silvio

Catalin,
This Mona Lisa was "posing" just for you. I've seen the one in Paris; this one is far better looking.!!!
Love the colours. The W/S version is good too; however, the
original shows a lot of details.
Very well composed and presented.
Friendly greetings from Canada from Mario.

Very good portrait of this Robin, Catalin. Good details but the DOF is a bit short, maybe you should have closed the apperture a bit with that good light. But a good one nonetheless. Thanks,

Mario
