Dear Trekkers,

Thank you very much for the comments on my previous post. It was a 5-year-old old photo done with my (at that time new) bridge camera, without flash, in Hungary. In contrast with that one, here is a new photo taken yesterday, in Ireland, with my very old pocket compact, with flash, in Ireland. This is the reason of the title. :-)

ID: Tricholomopsis rutilans (Schaeff.) Singer, wearing the strange English name 'Plum-And-Custard'. Quite common on the whole Northern hemisphere on dead coniferous wood. Workshop photo shows the cap surface.

Photo: taken on the Curragheen riverside, near Cork City, on dead wood of spruce (Picea sp.). Shutter priority exposure mode, flash, -1,3 underexposure, manual white balance, focus: spot metering. PP: moderate cropping, slight level adjustment, canvas, after re-sizing selective sharpening and watermark.

Hello MF Laszlo
really a contrast. The dark background really gives a dramatic effect and the splendid details of the gills are very exciting indeed.
Very pleasant shot to look at.
What a fungi and its mossy surroundings.

Foozi

Hi Laszlo, dear friend.
Your shot looks like great studio work. Lighting is simply stunning as well as the composition of the image and framing of the pictured scene. Shadows are the key point of the shot too. Details of the mushroom are the best. Superb job. My warm compliments and TFS.
Alexei.

Hello László

Once again excellent Fungi composition with the fine POV, DOF,
the way it is framed and the light giving dynamism to the image, TFS
