[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Trekkers,

Another year has gone, this time 2015 (my 9th full on TN). As this one is my last upload in the old year (next will be put on 1/1/16), I wanted to post my favorite photo (from those not yet posted) done in this year. After a little debate with myself I decided to choose this image of one of my fave butterfly species, the Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae).

Species: known quite well by you, as it's common in Europe - probably the only butterfly species recorded in each country from the continent except Iceland and some other islands from the far North. I already shared my first photo about this species 2 and a half years ago, so please visit it for link about the species info, if interested.

Photo: taken on the Curraheen riverside, near Cork City, using my macro converter lens, in camera manual exposure mode and white balance. PP: moderate cropping, after re-sizing to the TN-standard selective sharpening on the b-fly.

I don't say total goodbye for 2015 with this photo, as I'll be also here in the next days for commenting your images. Happy New Year to all of you and your loved ones, László

Hello Laszlo,

Indian Totoiseshell butterfly looks little bit different. Well captured this one with good details and different visible colors. In case of open wing I personally like to place the butterfly in diagonal composition. In diagonal composition, looks like, it will going to fly just now. Just my personal thinking......(smile)
But I like also the way you placed it.
Thanks for sharing with useful NOTE,
Thanks a lot for your scrutiny in my photographs. Have a nice evening....

Hello Laszlo,
It is a rare species in my region. Beautiful surprised with open wings.
Happy holidays at New Year and good health and prosperity.

Hello Laszlo,
This is one butterfly that I don't see very often here in Ohio, as a matter of fact I didn't even spot one this year. You have captured this fine specimen perfectly, showing it's best attributes in exceptional detail and gorgeous colors. I love it's vibrant colors, especially the powder blue markings which borders it's wing edges. Great shot!!

Hello Lszl

Yes farewell 2015, beautiful composition, fine POV to show the contrasty beautiful color tones
and the patterns of the butterfly, excellent focus, sharpness, and details, Happy New Year, TFS

Hi, dear Laszlo.
Superb picture of a splendid specimen. Wingspread is the most impressive as well as wonderful colours and nicely blurred BG. Details of the butterfly are ultimate. Nice job and my warm regards.
