[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Trekkers,

I haven't been here since New Year's Eve, due to lack of sparetime, but now I'd like to return with a photo taken on Ireland's highest summit, Carrauntoohil (1038 meters asl.), which I climbed with my son a few weeks ago. You can see the view of the Eastern Reeks and the lake Loch Cailli. Unfortunately, even we started the trip in full sunshine, the weather later worsened, we got clouds, cold and strong winds. On the workshop photo you can see Carrauntoohil from distance, together with Ireland's 2nd largest peak, Beenkeragh (1010 meters asl.) at the right.

Photo: taken in manual exposure mode, post processing: level, color adjustment, shadows/highlights.

Comments are always welcomed, have a nice weekend.

Hello Laszlo,
Wish you are well my friend. Beautiful landscape with interplay of light and shade. The presence of cloud made your photograph more attractive. Nice tone with splendid POV.
Thanks for showing your experience with your son during your climbing,

Hello Laszlo,
The way the lighting illuminates the golden valley below the mountain range is fantastic. The shadows give great depth and the entire frame is in sharp focus. The composition is quite eye appealing, drawing your eyes along the mountain peaks towards to horizon. The pitch black color of the valley lake brings a bit of mystery to the scene.

hello Laszlo,
I haven't in mind this kind of landscapes for Ireland. You have chosen a fantastic point of view to show us this amazing landscape. The reductoin of size doesn't allow to show all the details which are surely on the original shot.
Take care
Anne

Hello Laszlo,
old friend on the island of Eire,
showing up with a perfectly surprising eagle's view from a surprisingly rugged mountain top there! Fascinatingly exotic, very appealing landscape as also well shown and documented in your workshop. The quick changes of atlantic island weather have been well reported by you here. Sometimes, for hikers they must be hard to suffer. But then you are rewarded by an always changing spectacular atmospheric beauty. (By the way: Weather in central Europe is quite similar these days).
With thanks, and best regards from Bécs,
Peter
