As Luciano and Silvio posted beautiful butterfly photos today, I'd like to join them as well. ☺ Nothing really surprising, just 2 common species, the Small Tortoiseshell (Aglais urticae) on a Summer Lilac (Buddleja davidii).
Photo was done on the Curaheen riverside, near Cork City. Shutter priority exposure mode. No PP except for re-sizing and re-sharpening.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Laszlo, finally something to interesting in your gallery too...ahahah....great gift for me and Silvio,an excellent capture of the Aglais urticae, one of the first butterfly that appears at the end of winter in my country, this that you caught in September is ready to sleep in the long winter and very fresh because of the last generation of the season, excellent shot on the buddleja,a real trap for butterflies that love this plant and its flowers. Have a nice week and thanks for this surprise from your archive,Luciano
You're putting up some competition here for Luciano and Silvio. Well done.
Ciao Laszlo, great macro of beautiful butterfly on fantastic flower, wonderful natural colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio
