To The Memory Of My Old Friend
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi Trekkers,
Not too long ago I sadly realized my old (at least 12 years old) friend, who I learned manual photography on, my HP PhotoSmart R817 camera decided to die. In the past few years I only used it for photographing very small subjects with flash in super macro mode (as the lens shadow was minimal), and it didn't work without continuous battery- and camera software problems, however, this camera gave me so many unforgettable moments, memories and images. Of course, some of these images may be posted here in the future.
Showing special respect towards my old friend, I post a species now which is new to my gallery, and which I have no photo taken with a better camera: the Wrinkled Club (Clavulina rugosa (Bull.) J. Schröt.).
Photo was taken in Fota Arboretum, in shutter priority exposure mode with flash firing. No PP except for selective sharpening after re-sizing.
Thanks for looking and reading this necrologue. |

Hi Laszlo, great dedication to the death of your old camera, your words are so sad that i can understand how you loved it and how many pica and adventures you had togheter. So it's nice to see something from this long love,a beautiful capture of this curious mushrooms, and the quality is excellent without PP too as i can read, well done. Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano
Hello Laszlo,
Of course all those who get used to a camera and change it then remember with pleasure the moments they have gone through with the old camera but the technique is continually evolving, and progress will bring performance-enhancing devices where the quality of the image (which is the desire of any photographer) will be better.
Excellent details and colors.
Marius.

Hello Laszlo,
Comparing with DSLR, Compact or Bridge or even Mobile Camera provide sharper image. But (DSLR) depth of color as well as depth of total picture, much higher than others.
There is no future if we forget our Past.
Well captured this attractive Fungi. Well exposure on white. Good details.
Thanks for sharing,
Regards,
Srikumar
