[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

Until the very last moment i wavered between two photos this evening, this one and another more "rolling", but with a couple of little details (maybe trivial) that i just failed to make like to myself. At the end i gambled on the glance. In all honesty, the definition of natural photo is not totally attributable to this image, Castelluccio di Norcia's flowerings see their sowing performed by human hand, the rest, all the rest, is absolutely not artificial.I wrote this for correctness and to reply in advance to possible questions about it, maybe made by those who, being more dexterous, could have realized of pattern too geometrical to be accidental. The surrounding landscape is on the other hand absolutely natural....Between May and July the grassland characterizing this area lets the place to what you're looking at now, but it's hard to determine when a particular species will be present or not.The climatic seasonal progress is the one who has the last word. The more constant and rich flowerings are those of Gentiana acaulis, various species of Narcissus, various species of the genus Viola, Papaver rhoeas (the field poppy), Ranunculus, Asphodelus, Viola eugeniae (common in Sibillini Mountains), Trifolium and Oxalis.Fauna is as much rich although, in view of the large amount of tourists in the area -in this image you can see in the BG the line of the road with many parked cars, often photographers- , isn't easy to catch sight of it.To advert the presence of Italian wolf (Canis lupus italicus) whose traces are not uncommon, of the European Wildcat (Felis silvestris silvestris) and of the crested porcupine (Hystrix cristata) just to name a few. This picture is dedicated to those who wanted to learn more about this magnificent place.

Ciao Alessio.

campo y unos buenos colores naturales.

Buen Domingo: Josep Ignasi.

Very nice photo in very beautiful colours and an excellent composition.

Ciao Alessio,
I don't know which was the other photo raced with this one for the position, but I think your choice was excellent. This is a remarkable landscape with fantastic "boom" of blooming in the foreground, the real "colorful steppe", with huge mountain chains in the background. Absolutely fantastic job, and I don't understand myself how I missed it so far. Congrats for the bombastic photo.
Best regards, László
