[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an Osprey (Pandion haliaetus).It's a male for it has a thin (or absent) belt on the chest,while the female has a good and well marked belt.
The last confirmed breeding in Italy was during the '60s in Sardinia then it disappeared for the change in the environment,the distruction of the nestes and the illegal poachers.
Now,it's abundant in Corsica (F) and in the nearest Tuscany coast there's a project to facilitate the breeding of this raptor with the artificial nestes.
