Luckily I broke the hard disk and I found a series of scans which do I don’t remember to have.
Already I used to make more shots slightly altering data display or POV, when was something very beautiful; to my oak, I made three series, and I finished the thirty-six roll by, but worth the view was fantastic, this place today that I had discarded, because I felt better then the other that I have chosen to post.
I remember that this oak (Querce pubescens) is the largest living thing in Umbria, the dimensions are considerable, though not exceptional, five and a half meters of trunk circumference of a man's chest, about 22 meters height, circumference of canopy over thirty meters, is not the biggest oak in Italy, but is without doubt the most beautiful.
He lives close to Nottoria, not far from Norcia, and is the largest tree of Umbria. Because of its size, for his poise, for the life force intact stands out even in an environment rich by roverella of respectable size.
ALL THE FRIENDS OF TE BIG WISH A GOOD YEAR, HAPPY 2009

Fantastic capture of the light. It is a good skill of exposure by splitting the light using the branch and the effect is amazing. A fine post for 2009 outlook.

hi silvio i see that you love to take pictures of that tree! It is very beautiful. You are the one that gave me my first insights about photography on T.E. Thanks for everything and that is a beautiful picture.

Great atmosphere in this picture. Unfortunately I don't understand a word of the note, but the picture speaks for itself - great lighting, and good framing with the fence coming in from the corner. the wooden wheels give it a rustic feel - perfect capture of the early morning sun.

Hello Silvio,

Trees are wonderful creatures to which we do not pay much of our attention. It is not easy to do an imteresting photo with trees. Yours is excelent showing in such an inspired manner the greatness of the tree. The way you have captured the light is very nice adding significant value to the photo.

Thank you for sharing and have a Happy New Year,

Yes, Silvio, I remember this oak of yours from another shot, i could recognize a shot from this series anywhere because ti has your signature style to it.There are three main things that have created this wonderful magic, the light, the time and the magic of the invisible power above to place you right there with the right equipment...at the right time when the right light was filtering through this giant oak.

What a glorious way to close an year...one that hold so many memmories just like the numrous branches of this tree...

Thank you so much sharing this and also your wonderful wishes. It is always a delight to see your presentations that shows the heart of Italy.

Healthy and Peaceful 2009 to you...
Cheers

hey, another great version of this wonderful moment with the amazing light though the big oak !

Hi Silvio,
I am really pleased, I found this Oak Photo. I actually googled
"Nottoria" to find out what it means - et voila a whole page of your oak photos appeared - you are famous!!
Your image is a good example of autumn, the winter coming soon.

The atmosphere of your photo pulls at my heart strings, like a Puccini aria, before the heroine kills herself...

We toured Italy for over 6 weeks in 1976 and liked Umbria very much (Assissi a bit overwhelming...)

Your photo is a work of art - with perfect photographic technique.
Enjoy the rest of your week-end
Kind Regards
Ingrid

PS I have made your photo a favorite

Hi Silvio. A glorious shot. Love all the things piled along the fence. Them and the added sunlight through the tree really works well together. You framed it beautifully with a food exposure. A keeper. TFS Trevor
