Another stunning macro from your lens. What a delight to look at such a perfect focused shot, filled with warm and rich colours. The detail captures is simply remarkable and pleasant to look at and admire. The whole image is just like your previous one, jam packet with pleasant features and a sheer enjoyment to look at. The almost blue flower with its pollen covered anthers is very beautiful and eye-catching. Thanks for sharing this beautiful image.

hai sempre qualche scatto con cui continuare a meravigliarci. Inizio col dire che la luce sul piccolo insetto e sul bellissimo fiore è fantastica. E poi cosa dire dei colori? Sono eccezionalmente vivi come pure la nitidezza dei dettagli. Una curiosità su questa foto è che ho avuto subito l'impressione che sull'eupeodes si riflettesse la tua immagine nel momento dello scatto; poi nella descrizione me l'hai confermato. Hai mica utilizzato un 105mm macro?

eccellente macro con straordinaria definizione, effettivamente il sensore della D300 è eccezionale anche ad alte sensibilità, la D200 ha notevoli problemi già a 400 iso, a parte l'osservazione che ti hanno fatto sul riflesso rispetto al quale credo non avessi alternative (il POV mi sembra ideale), l'immagine è fantastica.

Very nice macro here from you.
The wide DOF ensured you'd catch this hoverfly in very nice focus and present it with excellent sharpness.
I also like the color palette here very much - the black and yellow on the insect goes so well on that beautiful blue flower with all its hues.
Good composition and exposure, too.

Dear Silvio,
I saw this beauty quite a few days back and had to come back to tell you my appreiation for this one.The tight composition is enriched by the blue of the flower and its rich details,The fly itself is captured in excellent sharpness and PoV.I can almsot see your reflection as you crouch down to get a superb composition in place.The glazy texture of the fly's wings is amazing.

I also love the hint of blue that lay between the fly's eyes and which so well compliments the blue of the flower.All in all this a composotion par excellence and i would love o add this to my "unforgettable theme".
